CARPET TILE ADHESIVE
A400 TAC SOLVENT FREE VOC COMPLIANT MODULAR CARPET TILE ADHESIVE
DESCRIPTION:
A400 Tac is a low odour, solvent free, VOC compliant, pressure sensitive adhesive. This adhesive is specifically formulated for use with most types of modular carpet tiles. A400 Tac can be used to install the above tiles to most common interior sub-floors.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
All sub-floor surfaces shall be dry, smooth, sound and clean, free of wax, grease, oil, old adhesive,paint, curing compounds, laitance, bond breakers and all other contaminants that inhibit adequate adhesion to the sub-floor. The sub-floor must also be free from hydrostatic pressure or capillary action. The adhesive should not be used in excessive cold or hot conditions i.e. below 8°c or above 28°c.
It is recommended that highly porous timer or concrete sub-floor surfaces be primed with Primer 88 or 44 and allowed to cure before applying the adhesive.
Uneven or damaged floors should be repaired with a cementitious levelling compound. All subfloors should be tested for moisture content prior to surface priming or application of this adhesive.The moisture content of the sub-floor should not exceed 5.5% and or the relative humidity should not exceed 70%. Do not use this adhesive if the moisture content /relative humidity levels are above the acceptable standards. All subfloors should in accordance with current Australian standard installation practices.
APPLICATION:
Stir the adhesive prior to use, apply the adhesive with either a U1 trowel or a medium napped paint roller. Apply an even coat weight of adhesive to the sub-floor. Spread as much adhesive as desired & allow the adhesive to dry. The adhesive will change from a bright blue colour when wet to a dull blue colour when dry. This tack remains indefinitely, providing the adhesive is free from dust. Install the modular carpet tiles onto the sub-floor when the adhesive has dried. Complete the installation in accordance with the Carpet tile manufacturer’s installation instructions.
CLEAN UP:
Clean tools and equipment immediately with warm soapy water. To remove dried adhesive use Holdfast Super Cleaning Solvent.
CAUTION:
Do not allow adhesive to freeze, unaffected by freezing when dry. This adhesive has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture kept in a unopened container under cover at 20°C.
VENTILATION:
Always make sure that there is adequate ventilation when using this adhesive.
